warm up question?

so for the summer i usually do about 30 minutes light cardio before my workout just to get me going. My question is, if im planning on doing Chest in MAT OT style, should i be doing the entire max ot chest warm up even after jogging for 30 minutes? i did the warm up last time and felt it unnecessary as while im jogging im moving my arms quite a bit. let me be clear on one thing, im not asking about cardio before or after weights, for me, i just do better with light cardio before. im asking if it is really necessary to warm up your chest muscles for a max ot workout after running...thanks for your help guys!

I would say yes. If you want to, just do like sets of 3 for warmups rather than the full 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, warmup that Max OT explains. See how it feels for you.

While runnign will certainly get the blood flowing, it's not a substitute for putting weight on certain muscles.

The big man is correct. If you are going to be pushing hard Max OT style - you'd better have good blood flow to the muscles you are going to work, have them properly acclimated to the heavy weights or you WILL GET HURT.
