Westside program........for hypertrophy?

I'm starting Westside training tomorrow after lots of research and concluding that conjugated periodization is one of the most effective programs out there. I have done Max-OT for awhile, and while it gave me great gains, my results slowly deminished and came to a halt. I understand why now, as progressive resistance can only take one, especially one who's drug free, so far. I love being strong and powerful, almost as much as I love size; that's why I think this program will benefit me in both respects. Since most BB programs advocate training muscle groups twice a week not to failure, I think this will be a positive shock to my body since I have been training every group directly only once a week to failure. I'm going to cycle volume while sticking to the ME/DE exercises to a T. So my question for either PL's or BB's who have tried this for a change, have you experienced little, moderate, or great size gains?? Can this program be effective while dieting (at or below maint cals)?
