What am I supposed to do about hamstrings?
Its getting to where I can't hold enough weight to hit them with the SLDL...and thats really the main thing I've been doing for them because the lying leg curls on my tummy always kill my lower back....
Well, the weights just slip right out of my grip after a few reps...
Other exercises that really hit the hams good?????

Get some lifting straps, Amy. They will help you hold the weight.

You can also try what's called a, "Reverse grip." It won't be comparable to using straps, but it's must easier to hold than a traditional grip.
Reverse grip is one hand facing forward (up), the other facing backward (down).

Amy - you could do some grip work. Static holds, plate lifts and forearm curls are all good for that. You also can buy grippers from most sporting goods stores.
Or it could be that your palms are slightly sweaty. When I do heavy SLDLs, I use chalk.

I agree with this. It really helps...keeps the bar from turning one way of the other.

I used to get that as well...then I started to deadlift. It went away.

Mix in some good mornings into your routine. They will strengthen your lower back as well as hit your hammies (and glutes )
I love these things more than SLDL, but then I could work my lower back all day and be contented.

That's a might fine idea. It WILL work wonders. :
Get some straps while you're at it, they'll help on both stiff legged and regular deadlifts.
