What happened?

I was wondering if there is any logical explanation for this: When I first started lifting weights, I performed 3 sets of 8,6,4 reps. I was flat bench pressing 185, 195, 205 for 8,6,4. Then just recently, I switched my routine for ligther weights of 3 sets for 10 reps each. Now, when I flat bench press 135 I am exhausted. I feel weaker using lighter weights then I did when I was heavy. I do not care about how much weight I use because I do understand form is more important, this is just so weird and I was wondering if anyone knows why this happened?

your body basically got used to your old routine- now that you've switched things up a bit it will take awhile for your body to get used to the new routine. do the new routine for awhile (3-4 months) then switch back ... your gonna see good results!!

You obviously have more fast twitch fibers than slow twitch fibers. Your endurance will get better over time don't worry about it, but if i was you i would not just do 10 reps for 3-4 months unless you feel like losing strength; however, if your primary goal is bodybuilding more power to you.
