What I like about being an ectomorph

There's a lot of down talk about being an ectomorph on exercise sites. Men call it bad genes and hard gaining. I want to give being an ectomorph the positive spin it deserves. Here re few thought on why I like to be an ectomorph.
1. I was in the gym the other day and realized that because I'm an ectomorph my muscles seem bigger because they are on a light frame. In fact other men who are much stronger than I don't seem to have as much of a definition. So..., that seems like a real benefit of being an ectomorph.
2. Also I thought how we can carry extra weight less easily than mesomorphs and certainly endomorphs. That means we have to do something about extra weight sooner before it gets to be a BIG problem. I've never been big-time heavy.
3. A third benefit is that it's great for swimming. We are just thinner and can glide through the water more easily. Good for jogging, too.

4. It's easier to do pullups & dips.
5. It's easier to get to a bodyweight bench & 2x bw deadlift.

I'm saying this from the position of a jealous endo / meso type (I don't know if I'm a muscular endo or a fat meso).

6. It's easier to be a girl and bodybuild without the remarks about looking muscular like a man.

7. You can really eat a lot when your metabolism gets going.

Gotta disagree with the swimming though. It's harder 'cus without the fat we have a tendancy to sink like a stone.

It's easier to walk through doorways and to catch mice as they slip through cracks in the wall. It's alot easier to see if you've broken your arm or leg. It's really easy to stab people with your sharp elbows. It's easy to count how many ribs you have. Only kidding!!! I love ectos

Tiny joints, and a high metabolism do have their benefits. Every ounce of muscle put on is usually readily visible with good definition...it's almost like you can stay extra lean and gain...as long as you do everything else right.

Plus the more muscle you gain, the bigger the size illusion becomes on your physique. You'll get compliments like "you only weigh 200?, man you look like 230!" haha...so it isn't all bad being an ectomorph!

Do you guys find that ectomorphs lift less weight in general because of longer limbs?

Not all ectos are tall or long limbed.

Sure, compared to an IFBB freak - but for a normal human, natural lifter - it looks like perfect dedication and the best possible results to me.

I've been an ecto all my life and it has many benefits, my most favorite is the vascularity and cut look that the ladies seem to drool over.

I have no idea what I am either, I seem to fit midway between meso and ecto though would place myself more towards an ecto
