What is going on with my abs

Alright, Now ever since i had my appendix removied in december i hadnt directly trained abs hard at all. Recently i started doing some direct ab work, just some simple crunches. Every single time when i am done my abs cramp up and it is extremely painful. All i can do is lay there and wait for the pain to go away. Any ideas what it is? I take a multi so i doubt its potassium deficiency and i drink a lot of water so i doubt it is dehydration. Any words of wisdom on this? All i can htink to do is not directly train abs anymore.

Check with the doc and make sure you are properly healed. If it's just an adhesion which is common after surgery, they'll probably advise you to keep training to loosen it up or break it loose.

12 weeks, you should be OK to do whatever by now. But everyone heals at a different rate.

well i had gone to the doctor a few weeks afterwards and he released me to workout and said everything was good to go.
WHat is an adhesion?
So you are saying to keep trying to work it out, but the cramping is paralyzing and it hurts like hell. I think its cramping, i have to hunch over, and it feels like the muscles are shifting around. Sound like a cramp?

Try some different ab exercises and see if you are still cramping.
