I don't usually listen to music while I'm lifting (find it too distracting).
But when I'm running, that's a different story. I actually find myself enjoying 80's retro.....er......i mean............

lol.
Its interesting what a 13 year old teen has in common with a 30+ year old firefighter who is a beast none the less.
Van Halen, AC-DC, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard, mainly most of the classic rock bands out there from the late 70's and the 80's.

I'm with orkydoc:
In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Slayer, The Haunted, Killswitch Engage, Pantera, Nile, Morbid Angel, anything that reaks of musical balls and brawn.

Yeah! Pantera is great and Morbid Angel love them on chest day! Lift slow, but let the music drive you!

I don't listen to music when I train anymore. I get distracted by it, but when I did I always listened to Metallica's Ride the Lightining. Now I only listen to music after I train because I feel like I'm stoned after a good workout.

Metallica. All albums. I have an ipod mini with 1000 songs on it, but only about 60 of them get listened to (the Metallica albums).

That's what's kinda played in our school weight room. Sometime it's country. Most of the time it is modern sissy rock (jet- are you gonna be my girl for example) I love when they put on hard rock. AC/DC, Van Halen, and mostly hard rock and metal. Talking about AC/DC i have their austrailian TNT cd in right now.
