FWIW, I always have my ipod on, but I don't mind people talking to me. I like it, actually. Except during cardio because I'm too out of breath to talk, and I'm listening to an audiobook.

I love that when I go to the gym (at my normal time anyway) that I know at least the names of a couple of people. I just use my ipod because I don't care much for the music they play at the gym. I have the volume low enough that I can carry on a conversation. It's fun to shoot the breeze a bit in between sets.

Simple answer always is you dont eat, drink, do whatever it is because you dont want to end up like them fat, lazy, ugly, take your pick it shuts them up.

Years ago I got slagged for having a head too big for my body now different people slag me over training etc they say my head is too small for my body. Little do they realise I am bursting with pride when I hear that.

Fact is you just have to find similar people whether it is on specific websites gatherings etc. You have to accept you are now a minority

As Minime said Ireland is notorious for drink and I have often been classed as antisocial or become isolated just because I will not partake in drinking sessions with the sole purpose to get twisted.
Plus i hate to dance.
