What's your Ab routine?
Per a workout book that I read, I'm doing 3 sets of weighted roman chair crunches 1 time per week. It just doesn't seem like enough to me.
What do you think? What are your ab rountines? I'm interested in hearing response from folks who have ab definition or are on the road to getting it. Loking to develop abs, but want to keep my waist small.

Hanging hip curls + weighted oblique tilts — done no more often than any other isolation exercise for any other muscle.

I do abs at random times. It's not something I pay attention to. I do it maybe....oh lets say once a month. I rely on my diet to maintain the look of my abs which I find pretty easy to do. But as for my ab routine, I do 3 sets of Roman chair situps to failure, 3 sets incline situps with a 45 plate on my chest. That's it.

I train my abs directly once a week. I will do 2 exercises, 2 sets a piece. I mix up my exercises, however my favorites are hanging leg raises and weighted cable crunches.

Janda crunches- 2 minutes
rest 60 seconds
Janda crunches to side- 1 minute each side
rest 60 seconds
Dual torso curl w/ slight trunk rotation (left elbow to left knee, right elbow to right knee, alternated)- 2 minutes
rest 60 seconds
Reverse crunch w/ hip twist- 2 minutes
rest 60 seconds
Back hyperextension- 2 minutes
Done!
I do it once or twice a week. Killer workout, short (apx 15 minutes) but sweet. :

Add some stomach vacuums. They not only help keep the waist small, they are really uncomfortable to do!

stomach vacuums are nice, i do em' when I can think of em. Basically I do decline situps w/ a 35 lbs plate on my chest, 3 x 15, I do some abs on this machine where u lay on ur back, and raise you knees up (a strap goes over your knees which is where the weight is placed) basically that gets my abs. I havent done much obliques lately, not sure why
