Workout dilemma

My dilemma is this...

I have noticed that based on a split routine of Back/Biceps....chest/triceps that the Bicep and tricep parts of the workout are underpowered do to the heavy weight used for Back or Chest. Would it be more logical to do Triceps the day after chest....and Biceps the day after back? Or even do triceps and biceps on the same day? I am also aware of the need to rest muscles in order to grow....any thoughts?

i definitely wouldnt do them the day after. if you wanted to give them a separate day then it would be ok. first i would figure out what your goals are. if you are going for strength then you might want to keep doing chest/tris and back/bis so they have a full recovery before getting worked again. if you are going for size then i would say give them their own day so you hit them twice in the same amount of time.

Thanks for the reply

I've spent a lot of time building enough strength to do a lot of pull ups....and heavy weight on the bench...trouble is that the other smaller groups are suffering. I've found trying to do dips (for instance) after a chest workout is useless....but if I do it the following day...I can do 5 sets of weighted...no problem and really feel the burn...I am also aware that the following day I should be resting....I think a seperate day altogether for arms could be the way to go

have you given any thought to doing tris before chest or bis before back?
