Lose fat. The greatest abs in the world won't look like **** unless you have low bodyfat.

Work on core exercises that strengthen the abs ...these are most compound exercise movements, like squats, dead lifts, overhead presses, etc... Do the major lifts correctly and consistently. The more you progress, the more your core strength will improve...and this means better developed abs.

You can also do ab-specific exercises, like cable rope crunches, regular crunches, etc.

After you've developed your abs more, you then have to lower your body fat %, as ebon00 stated above, in order to fully see your 6 pack. That is all there is to it.

This all takes time, so be patient and be consistent with a clean diet and high intensity workouts in the gym!

Lower your body fat. For most guys, your gut is the first place your body stores fat.

Do more cardio, do it regularly. Cut back on your calorie intake a little (not too much or you can cause your metabolism to slow down). Cut down on soda, beer, dessert, bread, etc. Try to split your meals into five or six small ones instead of two or three big ones. Don't skip breakfast.

Weigh yourself every morning. Get an electronic body fat meter and check that every morning -- they're not very accurate, but good enough for comparing readings from day to day to see if your % body fat has changed.

It'll take two or three months before you start to see a noticable difference.

i'm assumeing that what ever you want to do for your abs you want to do at home so i'lll list some of my favort at home ab exersizes. first off crunches work great for building abdominal strength basicly it a lot like a sit-up only instead of going all the way up to your knees only bring your upper back off the ground do them at a slow controled pace i like going to failure with these, V sits are also great they might take a bit of practice to balance corectly but they are very effective so just imagine a lying flat on your back on a soft surface (like a rug) now start to raise your feet off the ground and at the same time lift your upper body so your makeing a V shape again go slowly. those are just a few but there dozens more just try and google ab exersizes or something try and find a site that gives pictures or videos showing proper form bodybuilding.com might have some good examples.

good luck and train hard!
