Your happiest moment (to date at least!)

When I was finally able to do DB shoulder presses with 80lbs! (Well 40# in each hand), for 8 reps! That gave me such a high.

My second high was when I could calf raise the stack on the donkey calf raise (which I know is easier than standing calf raises,...but my spine cannot take the compression load of standing). If I try standing I can only do about 40lbs, but it's because of my spine injuries.

Two happy moments.

Anyone else?

You mean in the gym right?

This is embarrassing. The first time I SLDL with 160 was a very happy moment in the gym.

The next one that was a "happiest moment" was the 325x1 deadlift.

Very respectable.

And yes you nasty man, I was referring to "happy moments" occuring in the gym. (Not those kind of happy moments occuring spontaneously either).

But along those lines I do have a few clients who love doing high chair curl ups because,...well,......with enough blood flow,....besides stronger lower abs, they get happy too!

my happiest gym moments ever would have to be:

1. the first time I deadlifted 225lbs
2. The first time I benched 135lbs
3. when I set a new push-up record for my entire gymnastics center, accomplishing 211 push-ups done in one set in a time of 3:07 (I am yet to break or even match that record)

Body I'm with you. Having spine problems limits a lot of my activities, forces me into others, makes me cautious for many, and definitely puts restrictions on vertical lifts.

And for the record I feel less OWNED knowing my PB's are around 20lbs shy of your lifts. (I'll forget the 3 set parts). The 40/80's were my PB's while simultaneously being my sticking point. I can't do 45's no matter how hard I try or where within my program I do them. I dig shoulder work probably the best, and I don't have DB's I can microload either.

But okay, you perked me up a little.

I'm 5'1" by the way, so I'm hurling up 2/3 of my bodyweight!

Wow those are awesome accomplishments! Especially #3. I think I would die first, and I've got pretty strong tri's for a gal. Day-yum. Wow, that's really awesome!

Yeah, and notice you were the only one who had a dirty thought when I mentioned "happiest moment", mister? Hmm?
