Am I Overtraining?
Well this is my schedule usually
Sunday 1 hour cardio and 20 minutes weight training (tri's and bi's)
Monday 1 hour cardio and 20 minutes weight training (chest and back)
Tuesday 1 hour cardio and 20 minutes weight training (legs)
Wednesday 1 hour cardio
Thursday 1 hour cardio and 20 minutes weight training (calves and abs)
Friday day off
Saturday 1 hour cardio, 15 minutes abs, and 20 minutes weight training (arms and legs)
I usually burn an average of 800 calories a workout and i eat 1800 calories everyday with a 45p/35c/20f split. Sometimes i have no energy. What can I do to get more energy and not always be so tired. I usually have a red bull before a workout and that helps somewhat. Any suggestions will do.

What's your water intake?? How far apart are your cardio and weight training work-outs? Do you do cardio or weight training first?

I was recommended by a few people to do weight training and cardio, at least 8 hours apart. Do you have time in the morning, to do one of them?

No I usually don't have any time in the morning. Maybe during lunch I can go to the gym and do weights but I just rather go out and get something to eat during that time. Though I like to get it all done at once since my energy is flowing then. I think I may calm down with the cardio during a couple of times during the week. Maybe just a half hour cardio 2 days during the week. Could it be that I'm not getting enough calorie intake since I'm burning 1800 calories off. Usually after a workout I eat an high protein meal.

Have you tried just switching the cardio and weights around so you do the weights first and then the cardio?? That might help some.
And are you getting enough (or to much) sleep at night?

No I have never switched the two. I always feel i have to do cardio firsst to get my blood pumping and so i can get a machine at my gym. I will try today though and see how i feel.
I usually get 6-7 hours of sleep during the week and like 8-9 on weekends. Though i do get up a couple of times a night to go to the bathroom.

Try cutting back your water as it gets closer to bedtime..waking up many times during the night can really affect your energy since you never really get into a real real deep sleep which is when you're mind recharges itself.
Also try to keep your sleep times similar on the weekends as on the weekdays since it messes with your sleep cycle...getting too much sleep on the weekends does not make up for not getting enough during the week and can actually mess you up worse than just sticking to the 6-7hrs all the time.

What do you do for cardio? Do you ever run?

I switch off running/elliptical/step machine or sometimes i do all of them in one day. Depends on how I'm feeling. Since i have more energy on weekends i do more running. Usually during the week i do the elliptical and put the resistance on high. Usually i do interval training when i run.
I usually go to bed the same time every night. I'm a bartender on weekends so its hard for me to go to bed my usual time. I have tried no drinking anything before bed but i still get up, though then i only get up once during the night.

Why do you think you can offer such a definitive answer Lady C? He made no mention of intensity, or how long he's been doing this workout. Overtraining takes place over weeks, not in a matter of days.

Because she states she has no energy sometimes. Also that is 6 hours of cardio and ~2 hrs of weight training and only one day of rest. That alone, regardless of the intensity, is usually overtraining.

I think I'm going to two days a week of rest. I think that will help me be less tired. It's just hard for me to take off a day cause I'm addicted to exercise. I constantly watch what I eat. So maybe i'm not getting enough calories.
I did cardio after weights though last night and felt fine. Actually i think i have more energy today cause i did that. i also did only a half hour of very high intensity cardio instead of an hour of moderate intense cardio.
