Any ladies wear gloves?
Something I thought about the other day in the gym, I dont wear any gloves while lifting. Should I? My hands seem fine right now?

I've been wearing gloves for a while now, and I feel they make a world of difference. They give me a better grip and they take of lot of pressure off my palms. But it's all about your personal preferences. If you feel like it, give them a try. They usually cost about $10 at your local Walmart.

I need my gloves. I don't want the calluses on the palms.

Yeah my hands get pretty ripped up with out gloves. Some gyms don't allow chalk. Plus you get a better grip when you lift heavy and some gloves provide wrist support

I think DrWahoo is talking about gloves that have wrist wraps.

I used to workout about a year ago without gloves and I started to get calluses, plus it was hard to grip the barbell when my hand was sweaty... I started working out again a few weeks ago, and now I use gloves and I love it... it helps me grip it better

I have 2 pairs of gloves....the ones I got from Gold's Gym, and a pair of black Valeos. I like them both for different reasons. When I am throwing 25 pound plates on some of the machines I use, I don't want those slipping out of my hands, so the gloves, to me are a necessity. The cable row handles are textured. I wouldn't want to hold onto those without something on my hands for protection.

Yea, I wear gloves, I hate working out without them. It keeps my hands from getting torn open on the bars. Plus one pair I have is soo soft (not to mention they look cool). Some gloves do have wrist support on them, personally I have seaperate wrist wraps to put on when needed. I only wear them from time to time, when its nesseary, and I try not to wear them too often because the contstriction can obstruct the growth of your wrists.
