Arms look fatter since I have been working out

Hey Gals,

I started working out in April 4 times a week on the treadmill and using my bowflex 3 times a week.

The problem I have is recently at a family function I was told I looked fat and that my arms looked big, then the person tried to correct it and say it came out wrong that they meant they could tell I was working out....

Anyway, I do think my arms are looking bigger and I want to stop using the bowflex because I don't want my arms to look fat. I could tell I have definition but they really do look bigger.

I weigh 105 and I actually am looking to achieve a flatter stomach, so recently I asked the board for some advice and they told me I should do whole body workouts and that I would see better results versus only do cardio because all I was reallly doing was working my arms out and the treadmill 4 times a week. Well I don't want to be any thinner because I am pretty thin so I decided to do the whole body workout and reduce my cardio to 3 days. BUT MY ARMS LOOK BIGGER and I don't like it... I feel fat and now I want to quit working my arms out....

Should I keep at it or just stop working my arms out?

You should keep doing the full body workouts. Eventually the rest of your body will catch up to the arms. You were working ONLY arms before so they have a "head start" DON'T QUIT THE WEIGHTS

I wholeheartedly agree with Lady C You'll love the results when the rest of your body catches up to your arms!

like i mentioned in your other post in the beginner's forum, to stop working your arms means you'd have to quit ALL upper body work- not the secret to aesthetic success.
