cables vs free weights?? for women?

um.... I am unsure about which will give me more of a feminine cut cables or free weights?? I can do about 15 lbs on the cables for arms but when I go to free weights I definetly cannot do 15. Also for body sculping if I just do the circuit for pretty much every muscle -well is that good enough to get cut?

Cutting and toning comes from diet + cardio. You can use the lifting to supplement and help tone you.

Dana, you're not going to bulk up. You can lift with milk jugs, dumbbells, barbells, cables, therabands, it doesn't matter, they all work your muscles. THEY do not "make you cut" in and of themselves.

THEY will help build, shape, sculpt the muscle. Your genetics will determine the shape (not the DB's or cables or rubber bands), and your diet will determine your definition.

Use free weights! You aren't going to look like a man, just a nice tight bod.

I agree with all of the above, plus cables are generally easier ont he joints so some women prefer to use them....but then again there is only so much you can do with cable machines.
