carb cravings at "that" time

i'm hoping it's a ToM thing and not my following a suggested cheat day (i had a box of smarties, 4 wine coolers, and 10 gummy candies) but i am craving sugar like ninety - especially green apples and marshmallows.

considering how out-of-whack a female's physiology gets with PMS, should i go with it or crack down tighter? maybe cut out carbs completely until it passes?

Why don't you go pull your sled until it subsides.

Stick to the green apples and keep yourself busy. I only get cravings when I'm sitting around doing nothing.

Stand in front of a mirror with your underwear and bra on.

Start doing bodyweight squats over and over, looking at yourself in the mirror, and chanting "I have no control over myself. Oh poor me. I want to eat. I want to eat." Repeat this chant twice for each bodyweight squat. When the urge goes away, then quit. Resume when the urge returns.

Good luck!

Honestly I thought you would have an answer for this one 3N!

I like pierini's recommendation. My PMS snits aren't usually food related, but I find distractions (creative outlets or music) or exercise helps pass the time and the anxiety. My dog loves it. She gets extra walks.

i didn't, honestly! it's the moron kid!

brought three girls over, then buggered off with his male buddies. one of the girls was a runaway, so i ended up with cops phoning a hundred times and knocking on my door. add to that, the guy whose computer i'm fixing was picked up by police for questioning in a fatal hit and run and so more cops at my door to verify that yes, at the time of the accident, he was dropping the computer off at my place a half-hour drive from the accident. and let's not even get into the subject of the rent.

i want oreo cookies.

Oh my God, I have the worst case of carb cravings then too. MOST FRUSTRATING! The only thing that has worked for me is to actually lower my carbs and increase my fat. Not sure how it works, but it does. Steak, salmon, almonds... and a big tri-o-plex bar to satisfy the sweet tooth if things get ugly.

Those damn gummy candies are pure torture. Especially ju-jubes.

oh god, i remember back in the bad old fat days before i EVER set foot in a gym (we're talking metabolism so screwed i GAINED weight at 1500 and 1200 cal/day!), i used to eat those by the pound!

can't stand ju-jubes or wine gums now.

Yeah, but man would we pay for it after a whole bag of those that time of the month! Just so long as you don't inhale an entire bag of black licorice.

Hey 3ns, do you ever go nuts on the glow worm tubs from the GT boutique? (that's giant tiger in an upscale neighbourhood)

My son's introduced me to those and every now and then (like every 18 months) I have to taste them, especially when fresh.
