Cardio
Not sure where to post this, but i walk a brisk walk every night ( and work out on curcuits 3-4 days weekly), but will the walking help my mid section/fat loss...or do i need to walk faster for a shorter amount of time?...Thanks

It cannot hurt and may help. But the harder you push, the more likely you are to burn fat.

The more you walk fast or slow additional to yr training will benefit your tone.
So now all you need to think is, shall i eat a burger or walk off some fat ?
500 cal from a burger is consumed in say ? 90 secs.
Walk for 30 min and burn say 250 cal.
So by walking and not eating that burger, you are not taking in 750 cal which is near 1lb of body weight
hope you see my point

Geez bodyshop you eat your burgers fast.. lol
I say keep on with the walking, but also on some days try to throw in some light jogging as well just to increase the intensity and calorie burn.
How long have you been doing this same routine? It might also be a good idea to alter the days you do the walk or amount of days, or even stop for a week.... just something to through your body for a loop....Our bodies tend to get used to doing something and find that homeostasis / plateau.

Tigz.. I have been doing this for 10 weeks now..( doing all curcuit/pully machines every other day) i also now just started using free weights on my arms every night..The problem i have is that im not seeing much weight loss at all. It was something like 9 lbs in 8 weeks but i had lost inches, and ofcourse it seems those nice little love handles seem to be the slowest moving weight! lol

9lb loss in 8 wks is better than 9lb put on, plus remember yr training so will gain muscle tissue which is reason that the loss seems slow.
You have probally lost 14lb of fat but gained 5lb muscle and this is why the inches are dropping.
Keep at it, yr doing well

I'd say you're doing well, but increasing the intensity will also help increase the fat burn! So on some of those walks run

Shaunna, that is actually great progress you have made so far. It's an unfortunate fact that healthy weight loss ( losing fat and keeping lean mass) is slow. You didn't gain it overnight, and you won't lose it overnight either, but keep at it, and you will reach your goal.

Oh Definitely! It's always nice when you hear a "good job". Or someone reinforces what you are doing

That's great!
Sometimes it just takes the right setting or just patience to get things started in the right direction. Enjoy your progress and don't forget to change things up again when you hit a plateau.
