I guess I've never paid attention to that on my mom - she's only 47 though and looks pretty good to me lol. There aren't many other women on her side of the family that I'd have seen close up either. They're all either short and skinny, or short and heavy

Hey there foxymama....I too reside in Calgary, Alberta (originally from LA, Calif.). I see ajarvis does as well. Nice to know there are a few Canadians on the forum...haha...I just noticed that now.

Yeah, my Mom does that too in terms of,...regardless of how much progress I've made, (in any aea), she'll find whatever does not seem to be following suit or stand out (in any are) and find the need to draw attention to that. Worse yet she has no problem drawing attention to my faults in public. (Thanks Mom for the lessons in humility)

I guess some of us have Mothers who just tend to critique a bit more,.....

I don't think I ever heard my mom mention her weight, or body for that matter. It just wasn't discussed. As far as I can tell she was happy with who she was, and is for that matter. I never thought about it really til' I gained a whole bunch a few years ago, and then after having my son. But I've never really hated my body, or a specific body part either.

We had a pretty good discussion thread on cellulite earlier this year (not the one posted). Different people reported success with improving circulation through exercise. For me, it has to be regular sessions weight bearing exercise to improve the look of my skin, not solely cardio. For others, it's different exercise that helps.
