Just wanted to ask about these as I have noticed a few posts where people are taking them. I know you should have good fats in your diet. What benefits are there from taking these. I noticed in one post that someone had taken them along with tuna as one of their meals.
Thanks.

I believe Nutritionist recommends eating at least two servings of fish a week because it protect against coronary heart disease. Tuna is considered fish, but it does not contain omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids that are found in salmon, trout, and mackerel. Although tuna is a great lean source of protein, there is still a big controversial topic concerning high levels of mercury.
I heard about that too Laura, but I thought the mercury was mainly supposed to be in the albacore tuna - right? I think just the regular water pack tuna is supposed to be o.k....know anything about it?
Canned pink salmon just as good as fresh??? Love it & convenient.....

Amy – Some people recommend limiting the amount of tuna to no more than 1 tuna steak (140g) or 2 medium-size cans of tuna a week. My personal opinion on this topic is to eat everything moderately. As healthy as a food may be, you probably want to limit the consumption and diversified. By doing this, you won’t be bored with your diet as quick.
Eat salmon. The mercury content is nothing compared to tuna. I think eating a couple cans of tuna a week is safe from what I remember. Swordfish is far higher in mercury content. Basically the higher the fish is on the food chain, the more likely they are to be high in mercury. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
