Fitness routein for my girlfriend

Hello everyone. long time no posting for me but i'm going to start to get back into it.
I'm posting on behalf of my girlfriend who is getting a little bit down about her weight. We've been going out for a month and a half now but in that time she has put on about 10 lbs. This is mainly due to the fact that when were together all we do is eat sweets and junk food so we cant really complain. Well she now wants to drop the excess weight and i think she wants to lose a total of 2stone. She weighs 12st 7 at the moment and she is 5ft 10inch tall.
I think what she's looking for is a excercise routein which consists of a range of tonning body weight excersises and some cardio work. Please could someone reccomend something for her to try.

Her goals are to get fit and get in shape. She has her diet sorted out and is starting to lose weight already but we both feel that she would benefit from doing a little excercise.

Thanks a lot everyone for reading.

How about you and her workout together? There are some really good suggestions in the thread by Kaisersose .

You could have her sign up here and start a journal too. We're pretty good at encouraging folks to reach their goals.

Obviously the first step is to cut out the junkie snack foods. It will do you both a favour.

Well id love it if i could work out with her. But we only spend about 1 in three weeks together as were doing the whole long distance thing. But when does does come and visit me i plan on working out with her in my home gym. She really wants a routein that she can spend about 1/2 and hour a day doing from her own home.
I was thinking of something along the lines of sit-ups, push-ups, lunges and that kind of thing. But i dont know enough of thoes type of excercises to make a full routein with. What would you suggest? Also shes goingto take her dog for a fast walk everyday aswell in order to get some cardio work in.
Thanks a lot for your input brat and thanks to anyone else that reads through this thread.

For a fun fitness routine that girls seem to enjoy, check out my cheerleader thread. It's actually a variation of fight training without the heavy bag work but they love it. I've got 11-15 year olds working their butts off and having a great time. I'm kind of enjoying the workouts myself and do it with them for some extra cardio.

Crossfit.com has some good routines. They are scalable (they can be modified to fit any fitness level). Have her try "Cindy" workout. 5 pullups, 10 pushups and 15 squats. Do as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes.

She can do jumping pullups and pushups on knees if she is needing to scale down. Dog walking is good. Even a 2km brisk walk and cutting out the low nutritional value food can kickstart the metabolism and weight loss.
