girly pushups......don't laugh


Don't laugh at me, but instead of doing regular pushups, i do girly pushups (with my knees on the ground) is there anything wrong with that?? I mean, can i get the same results as regular pushups?? I do about 100 a day so how long would that take to get good results. And how many regular pushups would that be equal to?? Sorry about all these posts, im new here, and i just have so many questions.....

well


you aren't getting the full affect of the pushup by doing girl pushups... gives you a different center of gravity thus making it much much easier...this is good for girls cause they by nature have less upper body strength...but then again I know tones of girls who do real pushups and do lots of them!

I would say it is better to do 20 real push up then 100 girl pushups... intensity is the most important thing when developing muscle strength and such..but I guess that also depends on your goals

wow, i didnt know they were THAT much easier. So if i just did 20 or 30 real ones, that would be as good as 100 girly ones??

I mean, my goal is bigger muscles, but I also wanna be more defined.....

I don't know about the exact numbers but I do know they are ALOT easier...

don't quit the real ones just gut it out with guy push ups for a few weeks and I garantee your reps will increase...

and this will simply mean your muscles are growing... you got to have muscle first before you can get more cut (at least by the definition of those muscle guys you see in mag's)
