Question

Good Women's Fitness Magazines???

Hello,

Just wanted to see if anyone knew of any good women's fitness magazines. I've found muscle and fitness hers, oxygen, and that's about it. I know that there are other like Shape and Fitness, but I feel like they don't have enough weight training info in them. Any suggestions would be helpful!!

Thanks

You would probably get better weight training info online than from any magazine. They are usually 95% crap and 5% of good info. Look on the web you will find what you need.

The ones I actually subscribe to are Muscle and Fitness - Hers, Oxygen, and FitnessRX for women. All magazines are very great, they don't bs around like some others.

Good Luck!!

Personally I find those magazines to just go with whatever fad is in at the time. They also seem to have a lot of supplement ads in them, particularly Muscle and Fitness Hers, and Oxygen. I stopped buying them for that reason. Plus they restate the same info in different ways each issue!

My significant other has tried a number of women's fitness mags. The only one worth a darn was Sports Illustrated for Women (now defunct, unfortunately). It, at least, had lots of inspiring stories and profiles of real-world women athletes. The rest of the magazines, though, were crap. But then, so are just about all men's fitness mags.

I personally still like and subscribe to Oxygen. Of course they have tons of ads that's incoming cash, don't you know. Anyway they have some great recipes, and I find lots of stretches and even some home weight training ideas. When I am feeling like I should give up, my magazine shows up to inspire me to try try again.

CJNY - If you look at all the fitness magazines for women, maybe even men, a lot of the same info gets repeated. Even sites, ummm like this one!

I am still looking for new magazines, and actually I found, Womens Natural Health, I think thats the title. And I will look at SI for women too!
