Gym Hair...
Ok, this is going to sound all flakey but its not what you think :P
I've always had short hair but now I am growing it out.
The problem is I can not stand to have my hair touching my face or neck when I sweat so I put it in a ponytail.. which is fine for cardio but then when I lay down to do any kind of bench work or ab work its right there digging into the back of my head. I've tried everything from hats to low ponytails and nothing seems to work.
It was so easy with short hair, i'd just throw on a bandana and be set.
any easy solutions to this problem?

The only thing I can suggest - because it's what I have to do - is put a ponytail higher on top of your head. Yes, I look like I dream of Jeannie, or Pebbles (when my hair is shorter), but it works.

I just move it around and then when I'm done on the bench redo it it's very annoying.

leave it down when you work out and just throw on a cap or do-rag.

That's what I do, but it's not longer annoying. What can you do?

my hair is long enough that i can just knot it into a bun then, after my workout, shake my head hard and it all comes down again.

Today, after reading it in a fitness magazine I tried two buns on the sides of the back of my head. I can't get a straight part but I don't care, its the gym, not a fashion show and its seems to do the trick.

doesn't it get annoying when the theme from Star Wars starts up every time you walk in, though?

You could also go with two low placed pig tails. Don't be surprised if guys start following you around though. This way you have two options - 'star wars' or 'school girl', depending on your mood.
