It was LA weight loss, and I did not have to buy any pre packaged meals...It was all my own food from the grocery store...It just taught me how to eat and how to portion. It also taught me the you have to mix things up in your diet everyday...don't eat the same thing for breakfast every morning and so on... I had a bad habit for doing that!

Yea I have a very bad habit of that. I eat the same thing every morning, and I have my same snacks that I love. I've actually had a few people I know have success with LA weight loss. From my understanding though they dont just give you some pills and say you'll be 20lbs lighter at the end! A few friends at work were doing weight watchers too and the seemed to do well on it.

Adjusting your thinking is a big part of it, and I'd say one of the hardest parts for many people. It's not an easy thing to do.

Well, the one thing I will not do is take pills, not ever and I made that very clear to them...So no pills were ever needed...I do know with Herbal Magic you HAVE to take their pills, I walked out of there and told them I ould rather go somewhere else where I don't have to take pills!

really. I always got the impression from Herbal Magic that it was a natural approach ie. no pills. I wont take pills either. Another friend of mine was taking pills and it kept making her heart go crazy, and she was sweating like mad. That is just something that I wouldn't do to myself!

my diet isnt bad altho i dont really eat breakfast (i know not good but i am trying to eat a breakfast bar with my one cup of cappicino) im not into eating sweats or junk food or do i eat out very much but that doesnt mean that ocassionally i will splurge. the meals that we do eat i make here and for the most part it is well balanced.

im just not loosing any weight i am however trimming down i have lost almost 2 inches off my thighs and waist, but the scale is not moving. i know i shouldnt complain i do feel it in my clothes im wearing things that i couldnt wear last yr at this time.my husband says that my metabolism hasnt kick in yet for me to start loosing.

so could someone tell me why im not loosing the weight?? my goal is to get back down to 120lbs.

thank you in advance and sorry if this is to long. carol
Losing 2 " off your thigh area and 2" off your waist is a HUGE difference in just 2 months! If you want to see the weight come off with that I would suggest really getting a grip on how and what you eat. Breakfast bars and cappuccinos are not going to provide the the same kind of nutrition as for instance eggs, oatmeal and fruit in the morning.

Congratulation so far on the changes!

If you're really settled on cappuccinos, they can be had and made (I can still make them and have a steamer and manual frother, just use low fat milk),...and limit the size and/or how often you have them. Try mixing caf & decaf as well so you limit potential dehydration. You can still enjoy the goodies.

But I totally agree,.....I often wish these breakfast bars were banned. Only because they are very misleading in that they imply they take the place of a healthy, balanced breakfast. They're not balanced and often have, in that one teeny bar, betweem 1/5 up to 1/3 your carb intake for the day, often loaded with sugar and no fiber or protein.

Lots of better choices out there.
