It's hard to imagine something like that as being 'noticable' but one-leg squats/deadlifts may help.

One leg squat - http://www.intensefitness.co.uk/terry-astridge.jpg (holding a small weight may help balance)

One leg deadlift - standing on one leg, use the opposite hand to pick up a dumbbell. Keep the other foot behind you only touching the ground with your toes for balance.

Dan, this is the ladies' section. Now to keep the men's reputation for being jerks intact, you were supposed to ask, "where is the picture of it so we know what we are dealing with and how to help you best?"

Seriously OoohMy, that does sound like pretty good advice. Another thing you can try, I have no idea of the name of - it actually works on tightening the gluteal muscles - and is pretty hard to do.
1. Lie on the floor on your back.
2. Bring your feet as close to your bottom as you can get them with soles flat on the floor (knees together).
3. Squeezing your glutes, raise your hips as high as you can.
4. Lower to the floor - repeat.

I've never tried it this way, but you could try doing this with one leg instead of both. It may work or it may put you in the hospital. I don't know how it would work with only one leg and one cheek doing the work but it may be just what you need.

Hummm. I think I'd get the honest opinion of someone I trusted (not by posting a photo on a message board)! It could just look that way from the way you are twisting around to view it.

If it truly is a problem check to see if you always climb stairs or lunge with that leg first. It could be from a habit in your everyday life. I myself have never seen anyone with that kind of problem before but I suppose anything is possible.

Try leading and starting with you right leg all the time in everything you do in and out of the gym.

Who asked you?

I've never saw that problem before either - but your idea about leading off with one foot is a good one - my left arm is noticably smaller than my right (more common than a noticable glute difference I suppose). To correct that deficiency, I intentionally use my left arm more - especially in the gym. Using the other leg more and finding a way to work the smaller glute more should correct the problem if in fact there is one.

BTW: Just was teasing Dan there, not really wanting a photo.

I know all about you guys !

I also have a favourite foot for pushing off of. When I sew I operate the foot pedal with my right more often than my left. I also start lunges or other one legg exercises with my right side more than my left. As a result my right side stabilizers are better than my left ones unless I train out the difference.

Thanx for your replies guys!
Im surprised that this has never been brought up before in a fitness forum. I've posted about this not too long ago in another fitness forum, and a couple ladies replied telling me they had the same problem. They recommended the same thing though.
I used to lean on my left leg more..and now i tried switching it around to my right leg. But my right glute seems so much more tense than the left one all the time. It feels so handicap lol. Anyway ill take ur advice and get back to you guys:

Hey, good luck getting things evened out. But seriously - get someone you trust to tell you the truth to take a look and tell you if there actually IS a difference. If not, and you train one side more than the other - you WILL end up with a difference.

Thank u!! Thing is though..ive asked my sister and she said its a little bit of a difference. But a guy once did make a comment to me, which now makes me a bit self conscious about it. So thats enough proof for me 2 know lol.

Plus i my right glute feels more tense than the left one usually..that tells me something too lol.

Could also be trigger points (knots) in the muscle. Your glutes/hips store a lot of stress and tension, and if you have trigger points in a muscle it difficult to work them properly.

Try sitting with a tennis ball right under the cheek, then roll back and forth on it. If you have trigger points it will hurt when you do this but if you don't take care of it now it'll only get worse. I keep this book on my night stand and have probably referenced it 100 times... I recommended this I don't know how many times - www.triggerpointbook.com
