As my stay here increases by the day I have learned that:

1) Abs are 90% diet 10% exercise

2) you can NOT spot reduce- you may want to have the abs of your dreams but just working your abs alone will not get you there. Yes, by doing crunches it will help build muscle, but that alone will not allow them to be slim

3) to lose the fat around the abdominal area- diet is extremely important- this means, no fatty foods, lots of fruits and veggies!!

4) the hormone that allows males to "bulk" simply is not abundant enough in females to get muscular. We can get toned and defined but we would have to take some serious drugs to bulk up like every girl thinks she will once she starts working out (i know i was one of them)

hope all of this helps and I am sure someone else will come along soon and either a. agree with me or b. disagree and correct me on anything I have said

what are your workout routines right now and what does your diet consist of? these are the two major questions at the beginning of this route

I agree with sweetdream I would just add make sure you get enough protein in your diet. ex: lean meats, eggs, whey. It really helps. It takes a while to see abs but keep at it good luck.

From the skeptical stuff in mags and online, Fergie does the typical yoga and pilates stuff. She hits the weights and I believe she has some hollywood trainer to help her (one of those trainers that likes to overuse the words sculpt, tone, squeeze and core). Seems like a lot of cardio too.

I think Sweetdream is right on cue. Glad to see these tuff and ready gals are rubbing off on you.

The recommendations haven't really changed much since you used to post alot about Fergie under the name Nicole. . Welcome back.

What exactly have you tried as an ab/ diet exercise program since then?

In addition to the personal 1 on 1 that money can buy, like Ty mentioned, a lot of "stars" have personal chefs who do all the "dirty-work" calorie counting for them. It makes dieting a lot easier when your pay cheque is dependent upon it!
