diet, cardio, and weights. make sure you're doing squats and try to keep them in the 6 - 10 range. any higher and you're going more cardio when what you want is to build muscle. the "lean/ripped" bit is the diet and cardio.

wait a minute: did you mean "thinner" thighs or "thunder" thighs?

if it's "thunder" thighs you're worried about, that's fat - get rid of teh fat and your thighs'll lean out. unless you're genetically gifted, you're not going to break out in ahnold-itis. if you want thick, muscular thighs, you gotta WORK for them.

The tendancy toward large hips and thighs is genetic. If you are lean and ripped now and are looking to keep them that way (maintenance) it shouldn't be too hard working them once or twice a week as in the above post.

Throw in some sprints for good measure.

a few good exercises are walking lunges, around the clock lunges, making sure your inner and outer thitghs are tight with high reps and lower weights.
Plyometrics done with low weight, for 1-2 reps of 30 are excellent for this as well.
Old school says leg extensions done with toes out, in and mid.

some ideas.........
