I just want to say thank you and...

...please stick around!

To all our new dedicated lady members who have recently joined and returned:

That means you... minime, gymgirl, Sophie, lyra, dana, txgirl, killerbee

And of course we'll never forget Liftgirl, Lady C and midgetcop (Gymrat and Zoe get your butts back here more often!!!)

(I hope I didn't miss anyone)

You gals have perked this place up and infused some new blood and raised the bar for wanting to try new things in a personal challenge. You are not just wanting weight loss and spot toning.

Lets hear it for the estrogen crowd! WHOO HOO!

OK bad choice for group association, uhhh ...... Let's hear it for the strong and curvy! :

Awwww, thanks Brat. What a nice thing to post!

I'm not exactly curvy, still skinny, but at least now I'm within my BMI instead of under it.

Wow, thanks for the mention! I haven't been visiting as often as I'm on hiatus from lifting while I'm in physical therapy to rehab my shoulder (I had surgery in May). At the moment, I'm not lifting anything heavier than 5 lbs, which is torture for a max-ot addict such as myself.

I've been advised not to do any heavy lifting for my upper body until a year out from surgery (which will be May '07). I haven't come around as much because reading and posting makes me long for "real" strength training.

But I will try to pop in more often. :

Maybe you should get into bodyweight training for awhile?

wow, that's tough with the shoulder. Take care of it and follow the doc and PT's advice very carefully. Heavy lifting can wait.
