"Ideal" measurements for what... ?
For a long-distance runner?
How about for a sprinter?
A basketball point guard?
A sumo wrestler?
For child-birthing?
... and the list grows ...

Sorry to not be more specific,

just your average, everyday kind of woman.

Saw and saved an article from Shape with a formula years ago and can't find it.

Everyone's unique. There is no "ideal."

Exactly. What matters is that you're healthy and happy with yourself. Why go by someone else's ideals?

I don't believe there is an answer to your question. There is no such thing as ideal body measurements that can be applied on a group basis. Each individual is too different. What is ideal is too subjective. There is added difficulty in determining ideal measurements for groups of women. Consider the fact that breast size is highly variable among women even of the same body type and is not something easily manipulated.

I find the idea that wrist size can help determine the ideal measurements of any person, well, extremely suspect. It might help indicate whether someone is very large, petite, or whatever, but that's about it. Other factors such as height and body type also seem like unlikely candidates. Lastly, you got the info from a fitness magazine. That should be a big red flag right there.

You guys don't seem to understand...

Of course everyone is unique when it comes to their body. I think what she means, though, is that she wants to know the standard measurements for her bone structure so she doesn't aim for a size goal that's unreasonably idealistic. I would like to find out what mine is supposed be too. I mean, what's really unrealistic is when someone aims to be a size 3/4 when their build is not capable of becoming that small. That's where the measurements based on wrist size come in handy. I haven't met anyone who doesn't already know that it's only meant to be used as a guide for a person's size, not the absolute definition.

34c 24 34, I just made that up everyone is different in who they are and what they prefer there are no ideals.
If you are doing it for health reasons examine your hip to waist ratio
