It depends. . .

Maybe a better question would be how long have you been doing everything you are supposed to do AND are you seeing a transformation? If the answer is no then you need to decide what needs modification; my diet, my routine, more rest?

Personally, cardio 6x per week is enough to drive me OFF of my routine. I do 3 cardio & 3 weight days. One day rest. Some weeks when tired, 2 days rest with me dropping one cardio session.

What are you doing now?

Also what kind of transformation are you shooting for?

Some ladies are never satisfied when they look in the mirror even though they maybe very fit and healthy based on their workout schedule and abilities.

Okay don't get the wrong idea...but here is a link to what I want to look like

http://www.threewisheslingerie.com/police.asp

Okay just so you know my friend and I were looking for halloween costumes and that's how I saw those pics! I know u can't look exactly like a picture or anything like that. But that;s about the thickness I want to be. I'm 5'2 and I'd say I have a small frame and have about 15 lbs to loose ( I'm 130). Right now I'm not very tight if I had to guess I'd say my bf is around 24%...which I'd like it to be more like 18/19% I only started working out about 2 weeks ago ( I haven't worked out in a while but I used to). I train with weights 3 times a week and started to just eat really high fiber natural foods keeping my fat % at about 20. (again its only been 2 week so far) I was thinking this kind of transformation would take about 3 months? I really am willing to do what I have to do I'm just not really sure what that is, lol....My friend is a *new* trainer but he trains me for 35 minutes 3 times a week. He has me doing a split like this Mon-lift heavy for lower Wed-Lift heavy for upper Saturday-total body focus on reps....he changes what we do every session...if that helps any bit...Let me know what you think!!!

My diet:
Meal#1 Kashi go lean with wheatgerm and ff milk
Meal#2 Kashi trail mix bar
Meal#3 1 flaxseed/7grain wrap with 4 oz chicken breast broccoli sprouts and spinach
Meal#4 Shrimp and usually 1 type of berry fruit
Meal #5 1 serving walnuts
Meal#6 3 cups lettuce with eggwhites in salad with cucumebers etc 1 tlbs olive oil
Meal#6

LOL on the photos...( it doesn't matter how you found them .)

I think that you certainly can reach you goals, they seem realistic (body fat % and possibly weight depending on your genetic tendancies).

I don't think you time frame is realistic though. 3 months is 15 weeks. Sure a pound a week does not sound unreasonable but I don't see it happening that straight forward.

Your diet is pretty restrictive. I can't see you being able to maintain eating like that over the long term or for maintenance of your look. The other thing that is normal /typical is to lose weight at the beginning then taper off as you get close to your goal, that last 10 lbs. That is where it gets tricky.

I say this not to discourage you but rather to give you incentive to stick with your plans if you hit a plateau or stop seeing results according to your expectations. To look like that all the time (maintenance) will take discipline if you are not living a lifestyle like that now. Just make sure to allow yourself to adjust if things go off kilter.

I don't know where your diet came from but I think I would create a list of an additional wide variety of wholesome foods to be eating. You will get bored easily on that.

Start a journal here. I'd love to see your progress.

I agree.

I can see eating like this on a rest day. You will need more calories on a weight training day. Don't feel like you have to cut out what you like to eat to be successful.

I also wonder if the "size 2" is realistic. I am 5'-4" and find it EXTREMELY difficult to stay below 120 for any period of time and I am a size 6. (I can wear a 4 but I like more room).

Add a little more protein, add a few more green veggies.

About the restrictive diet - it isn't that hard if you really want to achieve your goal. It just depends on how bad you want it.

Once you get there, post a progress pic in the outfits.

It's just a dress size. I would not put much weight in it (pun intended)!

I've always been 5'4" as an adult. As a young adult in my 20's motivated to do what I set out to do I was able to maintain my weight around 115-118 lbs.(size 10-12) I'm not small boned either but I do have fast metabolism tendancies so it was easy to not eat much and stay lean while having high energy levels. When my goals changed, so did my lifestyle, eating, fitness goals and all the rest of it. I do not believe that I could ever get below 125lbs now and feel good in general. Once I reach 126 lbs I get very drawn looking and tired and it takes proportionally more effort (lifestyle change) to keep it together at that weight for little to no return. I certainly would not look like I did 25 years ago either if I were to reach that weight.

If I was under 35 again, I'd probably have goals and potential just like Dana.

I agree about the dress size - don't get too hung up on it. At 5'2" you can probably look absolutely fabulous at a size 4. But again, hopefully after working out for a while you'll forget about sizes altogether and be happy with the progress you'll have made.

I'm also 5'2", a size 4-6. Size 2 just isn't realistic for me, because of those damn curves my mom passed down to me....
