Losiong and gaining weight

Hi All-

I am 24 years old and am 5'8" tall (1.73 cm)
I have a problem with losing and gaining weight- like a yoyo
I till the age of 20 I weighed 110 lbs, then gained 20-25 pounds, and went down to 125 lbs. This summer I went down to 114lbs, which is my goal weight! Now in the last 2 weeks I gained 8 pounds.
I was sick and going out too much so haven't worked out (running) as I should have. But sometimes I can't help it and I will just eat more and more carbs/sugars.

Any good advice?

Dana:confused:

Be consistant. That's all any of us can do. When we fall off the fitness wagon, we all lose progress and go in the wrong direction. No matter what our goals. Sorry, there is no sage magic formula to help out other than to just be consistant and keep working.

sugar craving is made worse by eating more sugar.
Its a drug the body loves, An old trick from a lady friend of mine was to drink 1litre of water when she craved sugar.
Sometimes when yr dehydrated you feel hungry, so its a matter of reading body correctly.
Like Welch says, be consistant and you WILL achieve.
If losing weight was easy we'd all have 6 packs lol.
Keep at the diet that you used to lose weight week in week out, boring yes.
But results in any form are hard gained

Dana K I have the same problem....and because of this my weight seems to realy flucuate and prohibit me from making any progress. In the end I just stay the same weight. The scale may dip alittle lower on some days but then from the other "bad" days It will go up alot...it averages out to no progress. I

Going forward I think the only way for me to get around this obstacle is to allow myself only 1 bad meal per week. and 1 bad day per month. I am finding if they are too frequent it just undoes all the hardwork.

I like you have a similiar background and I know sweatdreamz does too . I never weighed more than 118 up until 22. From 22 until now I have gotten down to that weight for like a day and by not doing it the right way.

Anyways I hope I helped alittle bit.

So you are 122 right now? That's a perfectly good weight for your height. I weigh that at 5'6" currently. I'm 130 in my avatar. My weight's been fluctuating lately. But that's not my point. My point is that at 5'6" and 130 I did not look fat and was still a size 4, so I betting your present weight is just fine.

I think what you will want to do is not necessarily lose weight, but build a bit of lean muscle and lose a bit of fat (if you even need to). 114 is too light for your height, IMO.
