OK, the jist is that my fiance is getting curious about
weight lifting (a bit) and I'd like to make a routine for her. I'm still in the process of convincing her that more muscle is a good thing and that she will never accidentally look like a female bodybuilder. I don't know why so many people think that just happens over night! Don't ask about her diet, thats a whole other battle. One step at a time.
I have a good idea of what I would make her routine look like, but that would be mainly cause I know what works for me, or guys in general. 3 day split with back/biceps, chest/shoulders/tris, and legs/abs. I'd like to start her in the 10-12 rep range, not to failure. Its going to be a gradual build to any kind of intensity, she's not the weights type (5'2" 100 pounds and I'd be impressed if she could bench the bar more than once).
I just want to make sure I'm not missing some key aspect of training for women. Assume that I know nothing, since that's pretty accurate. Anything in particular I should know?
