Need A New Thread In Here!!!!!!!

Sorry. Just got sick and tired of not having anything new in this section.

So....uh......how's it goin', ladies?

Maybe the idea of having a 'female bodybuilding' section is redundant to most of us female regulars. But still, it's nice to share stories/experiences with each other.

Anyhoo. Just thought I'd get the ball rolling.

good idea midget! hehe, see i finally called you midget.

i have been thinking the same thing...where is the conversation in the female section?

so how's the training ladies?

i can't belive the summer is almost over--i got out of wearing a bikini this entire summer! pretty soon the body fat is going to go up again. any of you have that probelm? winter comes, so does the fat. i don't know if i just eat heavier foods (even though it seems like i cheat more in the summer) or if i just store more becuse it is cold. i still exercise the same amount.

I find that I'm not as conscious about my appearance during the winter. Not saying that I don't train hard - I hit the weights very heavy, but I don't worry about the cutting (or tanning...or shaving my legs).

But I think it's common to gain weight during the winter....the holidays certainly makes it easier. Us Swedes certainly don't hold back during Christmas, let me tell ya!

I too cannot believe summer is almost over. Classes start on the 28th of this month. I can't say I'm not anxios for them to start as I am bored out of my mind at the moment.

Training is okay. Now that I'm back in Ohio, my college gyms' hours aren't exactly condusive to my schedule.

Monday-Thursday they are open from 7-6 pm. That is fine. I can get there.
Friday they are open from 7-1 pm which creates a problem. I don't drive and my aunt gets off of work at 4 pm. That means i either go in at 7 am or use the weights at my house, which are no hwere near as heavy as the ones at the gym.
Saturday they are open from 9-noon. WHY????? The only way for me to get there Saturday would be to ride my bike, which isn't a real problem except it's been so hot and humid here. It's only about 7 miles or so and we have a bikepath that leads almost directly to it.
Sunday they are closed which is fine as it is my off day.

Hopefully they get backto regular college hours soon. They were 6am to midnight during the week. LOVED it.

good idea midget! hehe

Training is going well for me - however i do have my wisdom tooth extraction looming, which will mean some 'downtime' will be forced upon me! followed by a vacation week, which will mean some MORE downtime, but this time by choice! Im going to spain

In summer there is much more motivation to stay lean, in winter its like - who cares, ill be wearing sweaters anyway lol. Plus theres christmas - the big calorie-fest! yum

Do share your travel journey. I had a great time when I visited Spain (Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Avila, Segovia and Seville) and I sure enjoy reading and hearing others' travel experiences.

i am so jealous! i have always wanted to go to spain! like pierni said, please share your adventures and travel with us!

eeek when is the wisdom tooth extraction? i remember getting mine done, i think i was your age 23, too. i was terrifed and the surgen gave me a lot of valume (sp?) to take the night before and the morning of. hehe. i feel alseep, woke up and it was over, i was high as a kite. the next day i was up and around with no trouble. i did lose 5lbs or so though...i remember my clothes falling off of me after 1 week. i know it sounds lame but enjoy your time off, this is a great excuse to eat ice cream! you can eat all the ice cream you want AND lose weight! ;-)

I've been all kinds of places but don't care to travel much anymore when there is so much to learn, do and perfect right here at home. Living out of a suitcase is boring. (Buying new clothes isn't though)

I don't give in to seasonal demands anymore. For me it is just as important to look good as a clothes horse in the winter as it is to bear bare shoulders in the summer. A women who carries herself with strength and confidence fully clothed, in business attire or dressed casual, looks far more intriging any time of year than one who offers it all up for grabs in the summer then can't maintain control over the winter. Less is more anytime of year.

Wow Brat, you are on a roll today with your zen-like, sage-like written utterings. I'm sure they can be quite intimidating to your younger Discuss Fitness sisters who may still play with Barbie dolls. They will probably start using another acronym as they cautiously post their thought for the day, by concluding with: WWBTOS (what would Brat think or say?).

eeewwwww. My wife got some of that when we were bored and visited the head shop err, I mean the bookstore/artfully designed unique tobacco pipes shop in Atlanta a few years ago. Perhaps nostalgia for her. To me, it just stunk. Stunk in the 70s too. Of course in the 70's everything about girls stunk to me - I didn't get over that until the 80's, then they could have been wearing essence of dog poo and it would have been just fine.

ROTFLMAO - I haven't heard that term for so long . Actually I never had the real stinky patchouli oil, I was more into sandalwood and frankincence, flowing gauzy cotton skirts and beads, lots and lots of cheap, beads, bangles and candles.

I'll bet you had a floor model bong too!

Nope, never had any of that - I don't smoke anything except some real actual tobacco...never did. Yeah, I know - wrong thing to day at DF but I do it.

But sometimes a pipe or something different or unique catches my eye just for the artistic design of it - nice collection and not paraphanelia as long as there is no residue in it. It started when my friend (a deputy sheriff) brought back a really cool pipe as a gag gift from his yearly trip to Amsterdam.

Gauzy skirts - I know where there is a storage shed full of those things - they are hoping to come back into style someday. And new ones being ordered from time to time from internet companies join them too, but don't get worn??? I actually like those things too, but not the hairyness of those who still wear them.

I had a funny response to the "hairiness", but it means continuing the nonsense.

It lost it's fitness value if it even had any to begin with.

Maybe I should just move it or close it. What do the others think?
