New routine - Please Comment

Based on the reading I've done here, I'm in the process of mapping out a new routine. Please let me know what you think, especially where I can improve.

Day 1 - Chest, Biceps, Abs
Day 2 - Cardio
Day 3 - Legs
Day 4 - Cardio
Day 5 - Back, Shoulders and Triceps

Also, I have heard that you should never work a sore muscle. Does this mean that if I am sore on day 4 from the previous day's leg workout, I should skip the cardio?

Thanks!

If your legs are sore you can still do cardio. Just go a bit lighter on the intensity. The light cardio will probably help with ease the soreness.

agree w/ Amanda and she of all people would know about cardio.
Looks good to me, you'll have plenty of rest for the upper body between w/out days too...

tyel, Is there any reason why you take 2 days off in a row from working out?

It's a lifestyle issue more than anything. With 3 kids and a boatload of weekend activities, I find that it's better not to try to schedule a workout for Saturday or Sunday because, too often, I can't get to it (and then I feel bad about messing up, etc.). My gym opens at 5am M-F but not until 8 on Saturday and Sunday, so I can't go early as I do the other days.

I'm trying to design a program that can fit in a 5-day schedule.
