OK...I'm going for Plastic Surgery!
I know that this might be considered an evil word among us female weight-lifters. But this is something that I've been considering for years now, and this Friday I'm going for my first consultation.
I'm going to have liposuction on my outer thighs and maybe the inner as well. Despite all previous efforts, I have not been able to get rid of the pockets of fat on my hips, and it's been a huge source of insecurity since I was 13. The only time I've seen any size-loss in that area was 2 years ago when I lost a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight due to depression, and although my ass/legs looked fine, the rest of me looked underweight and like sh*t.
I know it sounds extreme, but I want to be comfortable in my own body. I want to be proportianate. I want pants to fit me properly. Although I might sound anal, I have realistic expectations on what I can expect for my body.
I will let you guys know how my initial consultation and the rest of my process goes.

Your body, your choice. If that is what you really want and are totally aware of the risks involved...
While you are at it, ask if they make group discounts and see if they can take some of this leftover skin from my abdomen. I'd gladly donate it to a burn victim or something.
Hey now that's a thought, instead of selling kidneys on e-bay we could sell skin and unwanted fat cells.
Seriously, best of luck - hope it works out for you.

I wish I could have you for a month, I could help you lose all that without the surgery..........but I do understand your frustration and wish you all the best with it! You do all you can and still don't quite have it where you want........as long as you do good research on it and make sure you are SURE!

like it or not, some ppl have fat deposits that just will NOT budge, no matter how much they try. i don't have a problem with liposuction, so long as an honest effort has been made - i just have a problem with it when it's the ONLY effort being made. ie, someone who is massively overweight jumping straight to bypass/lipo/lift without even trying diet and exercise.

no - when the fat is physically removed, it doesn't go back there but to other areas. example, if you get a boob reduction and gain weight, it'll pack onto pretty much anywhere else except your boobs. same with stomach, thighs, etc.
of course, the trick is not to gain weight after liposuction.

Yes, there are those individuals beyond the norm........I agree, not too sure this lady is or is not but of course I would need to try training/dieting her first before I bowed down to say 'yeah go ahead'.Linda

I hope your expectations are realistic Midget! I have yet to see before and afters with lipo and normal people (not mega buck movie stars) that show dramatic changes beyond what self dicipline and maturity can do.
But like otehrs have said, it's your bod, I wish you well.

One month of training and losing pounds is not the hard part. It's the maintenance that wears you down, especially when you are fighting genetics for a certain "look".

The only thing I'd worry about is the possibility of addiction. I know I know, Thats crazy, I would never do that, this is the one and only time. It does happen though, and a lot. Because its just plain human nature. Just make sure this is a strategic move that bring about the finality you want.
Other than that, before and after pics? I think a lot of people haven't seen what plastic surgery actually accomplishes.

lol - i have. i've had a LOT of surgery done on my face and i have to go in for touchups every ten years.
as for the addicting part, i wouldn't know about that - my surgeries are from necessity, not vanity - but i guess it would be like tattoos: you can't stop at just one!
