question about menstrual cycle

After 2.5 weeks working really hard at the gym, my menstrual cycle was almost two weeks late.

I am not sure what is going to happen this cycle, as before I started working out... well, i should be PMSing or at least ovulating now. But it got screwed up last month when I joined the gym.

Are there articles or info I can find... or does anyone have advice for me on what I can expect?

I am not taking the pill, but have an IUD.

Thanks in advance.

Well at your stage of life and with the fitness regime you've adopted I'd say ask your doctor for advice. It could be anything.

(Read the article I posted just before your post.)

If ever you are really late, don't trust that IUD. Get tested. I was presented with motherhood earlier than planned, but happily, when that was my BC of choice.

hi, karenmarie-

i am not an expert on these 'women things', but from what i have read many things can factor into a late period. have you had any unusal stress? have you lost weight recently? is your workout program pretty new? is this the first time it has been late like that for you?

i found this website that might have some helpful information.
http://www.menstruation.com.au/perio...irregular.html

if you are really concered you may want to give your doctor a call.

I started working out approx. five weeks ago. I went from total, 100% sedentary, to four days a week at the gym. I work hard. 40 minutes weight training and at least 40 minutes of cardio.

I was due about a couple of days after I started the gym, but was almost three weeks late. I put it down to the working out. It was a MAJOR change in my life.

I know I am not pregnant, I am just wondering what i should expect.

thanks,

I wish you would keep a journal here. You are going to be one huge success story at this rate.:
