I've heard some people say it's always better to end heavy.
I myself prefer to do pyramid sets, that way it's kind of like a cool down, not only that but the same weight you used going up usually feels lighter on the way back down because you were just using heavier weight the set before.
If you're not talking about a pyramid then this is all useless information here. And sorry for being off.
