range going backwards


What is the benefit of going backwards with range?
I imagine it probably workd different muscle group?
if so, could you explain which ones?

Is it better to go both forsard and backwards than only going forwards?

Are you talking about doing sets like a pyramid?

I've heard some people say it's always better to end heavy.

I myself prefer to do pyramid sets, that way it's kind of like a cool down, not only that but the same weight you used going up usually feels lighter on the way back down because you were just using heavier weight the set before.

If you're not talking about a pyramid then this is all useless information here. And sorry for being off.

No No I was talking about range moving backwards (motion). Stepping back, instead of stepping forward. Sorry to confuse you. hehe. and Thanks for the info!!!
