re-evaluation

ok so today I got my body fat and everything re-done and I was a little dissapointed only because someone else did it and some things were WAY off than when the other guy did it.

my weight stayed pretty much the same at 129-130 (the scale said about 129.8 or something)

my hips decreased by 1 inch, 36" this time to 35"

my waist apparantly increased an inch from 26.5" to 27.5" but last time the guy did the measurements under the shirt so the tape measure was directly on my skin whereas the guy who did it today did it over my shirt

my thigh body fat in mm last time was 16 and this time it was 23!!! WTF

my abs decreased from 21mm to 17 and my hips from 18 to 11 :eek

overall my bodyfat last time was 21.5 and this time it was 20.7

I am little bit leery of all these calculations and although I AM happy that it all pretty much stayed the same and I stayed the same weight I just wish they guy who did it before could have done it again

I signed up to recieve 4 training sessions in the next month or so with the guy who did all the body fast testing and hopefully can come up with something new and improved to do to keep the body fat down and stay around the same weight!

Just a slight note,....measuring over a shirt is not going to make that much of a difference. We are trained to compensate for the type of clothing to wear. We only ask you do not wear Lycra, anything elastic, no fleece and no jeans. Other than that, we know the correct way to adjust the math to compensate when making measurements.

Your BF measurements via calipers should always be against bare skin, so I hope you're not referencing that.

But for measurements, please don't think that measuring over a tank top or tee shirt is going to add an inch to your waist.

thanks merrida....I think either the guy who first did it didn't do it quite right because when he did my body fat he did not pull at it first. Is that what you are supposed to do? because the guy who did it the second time, pulled on it (which was just a fantastic experience considering I hate when my own boyfriend does it) but he pulled it a few times before getting the reading

as for measurements with my shirt on- maybe I am just making excuses for myself and haven't been working hard enough

well Tuesday I meet with my new trainer and this is a brand new month and I am going to start of off right and stick to my plans, no excuses, no bull****, no ifs ands are buts!!!!!

This had happened to me when I joined a body shaping program. Two different people did the measurements so the results were not accurate. I think everyone measures slightly differently. I usually always double check and do it myself right after they do it.
