Some people just don't sweat much, (when I train with weights I don't very often get soaked but I work my butt off), some people sweat a lot (my Husband sweats like crazy even when he starts lifting, and he's very conditioned and athletic),... some people only sweat with cardio (that'd be me),... for some it depends on hormones, the temperature of the OUTSIDE air (not the air in the gym, so yes that is a factor), it can be the inside temp, it can be hormonal, it can be dietary (yep), it can be related to training level and conditioning, it can be how you feel on any particular day (I get hot flashes and sweat like crazy giving a speech some days, and on others I'm golden),....
You just can't use it as any type of faithful indicator. Yet many people do. They feel unless they're standing in pools of sweat they've wasted their times, or they kill themselves burning up
muscle tissue trying to DO something to sweat and maybe their bodies just don't go that route).
It isn't an indicator,...like anything else, it's one tool,....
I could name a few other tools too...
