toning thighs..
K, Im getting the results I want from cardio, and weight training, however I want to tone my inner thighs. Is there anything I should know about this? or will this just come from cardio and losing fat? Thanks for the help.

Eventually they will just come around. You can work the abductors and adductors with specific isolation exercises but they are worked when you do squats, deadlifts and other leg exercises as well.

I'm with ya on this one!!! same problem area..so hard to get, seems to come off last..or not at all! I am trying a new exercise at the gym, holding a 25 lb weight, keeping arms relaxed, down, squating with legs open, like doing a "pliet" in ballet..(sp?) and doing inner thigh squats..25 reps/3 sets.
It's great.

ps, keep back perfectly straight, and squeeze butt as you come up. go as low as you can without extending knees too much past toes, and don't lock knees on the way up. keep a hard tension the whole time.

I've read elsewhere you can focus more on your inner / outer thigh muscle developement by the placement of your feet during squats / deadlifts / lunges.. basically by pointing your feet slightly outwards works your outer thighs more, and vice verca...

I do pilates..it's the only exercise I've found to actually work on the inner thighs.

I'm beginning to feel that my saddlebags are hopeless. Maybe I'll just save up for liposuction. :

Liposuction doesn't work too well on the inner thigh..i've heard nightmares about results from inner thigh lipo. However, I know for a fact that outer thigh areas, like saddlebags can be greatly improved. sorry, off topic..

Not for nothing but a friend (who is turning 40 this Oct, btw) started biking several years ago and at the risk of sounding crass, catch her from behind and you'd swear she was twenty.

After you have done all you can. Are at your ideal weight, and that is all that is left, I would save up for lipo. How much would a spot removal cost on something like that?

Even about a year ago while I was slightly underweight I had saddlebags. I think the only way to reduce them would be either becoming dangerously thin or considering lipo. Don't have the funds right now...so I'll have to suck it up in the meantime.
Forget what the costs are...in Canada I think they'll do one area of the body for a bit over $1000.
