you're wasting your money. just get a tub of whey protein and eat more. the ad talked about being healthy but its really not. you're better served to just buy more real foods.

nooo - just eat more food! 61grams of protein in one go for you (i believe u said 110lbs?) is too much. Besides, those weight gainers are full of crap. Just make your own!

whey protein + banana + peanut butter + whole milk = high calories, but in a more natural way. Enjoy!

i agree with minime. i'd skip the weight gainer you are looking at and try minime's suggestion. lots of calories, plus protein...you could even add some oats for carbs and more calories.

Plus that's really tasty. Also add some cocoa powder. Yum.

LOL it IS whey protein!

Quote:
Ingredients:Whey Protein Concentrate, 100% Pure Fruit Sugar (fructose), Calcium Caseinate, 100% Pure Extracted Egg Albumen, Vanilla Flavoring, Natural Amino Acids, Papain and Bromelain (digestive enzymes)

Other Ingredients: 8 Essential Amino acids: Methionine...729mg, Isoleucine...1827mg, Tryptophan...567mg, Phenylalanine…1239mg, Valine…1899mg, Lysine…2589mg, Leucine…3285mg, Threonine…1701mg
Does not contain: Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils Or Fats, Starch, White Sugar (Sucrose), Soy, Maltodextrin, Yeast, Milk Solids, Fillers.
The second ingredient on the list is pure sugar so you know it is a high percentage of the volume. If you don't mind the sugar, the ingredients aren't really bad. It is probably just like the whey powder that these ladies are suggesting to put in their suggested weight gain concoction. Comparing a nutritional breakdown of each is a better way to measure superiority. Whey protein isolate is supposed to be the better whey, but even that can be disputed. I'd say the choice is yours on what you buy and use.

Whey isolate is more expensive because it is filtered (ultra-filtration) one more time than the concentrate. Isolate has less fat and lactose than concentrate. Unless you have stomach issues with the fat and/or lactose then stick with the concentrate and save your money. Whey is whey.

My personal favorite shake is whey isolate, banana, cottage cheese (for thickening), plain yogurt, frozen blueberries, flax seed meal. Blend in blender until smooth.
