Weight Loss & Fitness for Women Over 40 Only

http://www.drlark.com/order/opt_lark...ookie%5Ftest=1

What do you guys think of this, - especially Cursor.

There are twists on everything, and sometimes a thread of truth woven into fads and myths that perpetuate the sales of the "latest and greatest" book or newsletter or magazine or article or diet plan or exercise program,...

However, this doctor talks about women's predisposition to inflammation, and how avoiding wheat can help her lose weight. She talks about green tea, and the importance of lower complex carbohydrates and to not be afraid of fats.... She's quite the fan of flax seed and flax seed oil.

She talks about how as women age and approach menopause, the HORMONAL differences between us and men becomes more prevalent, and that THAT is why "traditional" diets will fail women 40 and over, even if they've worked before....

So where's the catch? After her "free" newsletters (ie: articles), she's trying to sell one or two years worth of her newsletters for something like $80.00.

She has some very interesting points, which intrigue me. But I admit it also seems like it may potentially be another one of those scammy kind of sales SPAM-ish types of diet deals.

Based on what you guys CAN read from that link, what do you think about it?

I get a message from the target site that says:
"You have landed on this page because you do not have "cookies" enabled in your browser."

Even after adjusting my cookie settings as per their instructions, I still can't access the article.

Try that one? I can always cut & paste.

Any of you familiar with Real Age, the newsletter?

It tells you what your "real age" is, not the number of years you spent on this planet,.....based on how certain activities or eating habits and patterns actually make you "younger" because of the health benefits, and likewise, certain eating patterns and inactivities can make you "older" than your years.

I believe it originates at www.realage.com and the newsletter is called "health bytes."

I have "The RealAge Diet" book by Roizen & Puma and find it to be a stimulating resource—very smart information. In addition to providing the reader with great tips on how to eat for a healthier lifestyle, they do a great job of critiquing several popular diets (Chapter 3: The Bestseller Diets: Do They Make Your RealAge Younger or Older?) Rather than ripping them up one side and down the other, they very objectively break them down ... then make suggestions for modifying them so that they can contribute to lengthening your life.

I'll have to look through the other site that you mentioned above.

Couldn't help but laugh, but are you being for real or are you just being sarcastic? It would be nice if you were being for real because women over 40 are cast as old and useless by todays standards. You know what I mean.
Please say you really mean "MMMmmmmMMMM" because I think that would be cool and a lesson for the younger guys that think only a fit 20 year old chic is hotter than a 40 year old fit chic.

Timbers, he's serious - Jaster loves women of any age. Add fitness to the equation and yes, he tends to drool a bit

It's pretty cute! Good for you, Jaster, for looking at "fit" and not so much at the age

If I could get permission, I'd like to post a picture of my best friend's personal trainer.

She used to be my client, that's how I "met" her,...and then she moved to Scotland when she got married. She was (is) a very fit woman.

When she moved she had a hard time transitioning from our work together as trainer/client, and she couldn't find a trainer that either she liked, enjoyed, or....that she could understand! (She said the accents were so thick she'd have a difficult time).

She joined what was one of the poshest fitness clubs in the area, and hooked up with this trainer. She loves her! And her trainer has the most incredible energy, like a bright spark plug,....she has three pages worth of credentials and experience, and teaches privately as well as classes. Beautiful...

Well, my friend had made a comment about wishing she could have even half her trainer's energy at 36....(I think she felt a little worried about her age)....

Come to find out, her trainer is........46!

She sent me a picture of her, and I swear she looks like she's in her 20's or maybe early 30's! She's beautiful, great body, super fit, supercharged energy and very buff. And,...she's just getting better and better every year!

Women like my friend's trainer, and that link cursor had posted a while back about the mother/daughter bodybuilders,....I find those motivating and exciting! Anything that helps dissolve and shred the image society has of women and fitness as they get older, ... as if somehow after having children or reaching a certain age, it's over.

I just love hearing about women and fitness, and women who take it to the next levels and knock everyone's socks off!
