Where 2 Begin!?

Hi there. I'm a 43 year old, very fit woman (5'6" / 125 lbs). My body type is very condusive to bodybuilding, and the entire art is highly drawing to me, but I have no clue where to begin. I have some health issues that I need to be careful of (neck/back problems) which sometimes makes it difficult for me to work certain muscle groups. Is there some place (perhaps on the web) that I could be directed, that could help me? My current workout schedule includes spinning and aerobic exercise (5 days/week), and cautious weight training (1-2 days/week), usually on machines. My doctor (back/neck problems, remember) suggests I use free-weights instead. He (the doc) is the one who actually gave me the "mental Push" to learn more about bodybuilding, because when I went in for help with my back/neck problems, he wanted to know if, because of my muscular build, I was a bodybuilder. Anybuddy??

Right here. The DF forum is loaded with knowledgable people. Just make sure you run by any plan with your doctor or specialist until you are comfortable in judging your own limitations due to neck and back problems.

Feel free to ask the men too. Muscle tissue doesn't have a gender.
