Where to spend the money

Hello everyone,
I have about 30 lbs to lose and I was wondering how would you spend your money to lose it. Would spend it on a trainer, a diet plan like nutrisystem or on high end supplements ?

Thanks

I say stick it under your pillow and save it to buy some new clothing after you lose the excess pounds.

Examine your eating habits and make necessary changes to support your goal, and start cranking out some pedal to the metal workouts like you really want it bad. You'll have it by the summer if you want it really bad and you are willing to do the uncomfortable work.

Hi, Dr.Wahoo!

I personally would spend the money on good whole foods. Stock up on eggs, lean meats, whole grains, veggies, fruit, fish, nuts, etc. and a tub of whey protien if you find it tough to consume enough protein through real food.

what does your daily food intake look like, and what are you currently doing for your workouts?

Wow! Sorry but I just realized this is the women's section. I need to stay away so you ladies have some privacy. I'll be more careful next time.

Actually I like pierini's advice. It's a great motivator and you will actually have something tangible afterwards to keep you ontrack maintaining,

If you don't like creating plans yourself then you could of course hire a trainer but make sure they are accountable for their recommendations. If you spend the money then the plan should be customized to your exact needs.

Forget the supplements. You might as well throw your money out the window.

What's held you back getting started on your own up to now?

My 2 cents.. don't spend it on nutrisystem. I have 3 co-workers who ate that crap religiously.. and they didn't lose a pound. One of the co-workers was amazed to see that I've been losing weight eating NORMAL foods. I told her that I've been working out like a maniac and eating sensibly.

Another friend did manage to lose like 15lbs w/nutrisystem but she gained it right back after she stopped eating it.

Spend the money on good foods, as suggested before! The only other money I spend on fitness is my gym membership.. well worth it as long as you go!

Everyone has good points here.

I personally spent my money on equipment for the house. It is a one time expense and I can use it for a lifetime. The only kicker is you now need to find space for the equipment.

I can't ever use the excuse that it was too crowded at the gym.
