Woman's Fitness magazines

I order Oxygen only. I would like to order more any suggestions? Also, is Natural Magazine a mans magazine or woman's??

I've tried heaps of different ones, but oxygen is the only half decent one i have found. Even then it is half made up of ads for lose weight quick potions!

My choice is none. I can't stand all the instant solutions and supplement ads.

I get that one and Oxygen, although I do prefer M&FHers.

Yup - I agree with Lady C. I prefer reading advice on the net and at forums like discussfitness. I don't like the magazines because the idea of spending my money to read a bunch of advertisements just is NOT appealing.

I've never even opened a fitness magazine. Just judging from the front covers they look like crap....why is it that EVERY woman's magazine has about 3 headlines on the cover about weight loss???

No wonder we have body image issues.

Please don't judge so fast - not even opening up one of them?
I'm not talking about "Fitness" or "Shape". But Oxygen and MFHers has a lot of good info. For example:

There are 3 muscles referred to as the "gluteus". The gluteus maximus is one of the largest and strongest muscles of the body. Running from the crest of the pelvic bone to the rear of the thigh, its function is hip extension (i.e., moving the thigh backward).

The smaller gluteus medius and gluteus minimus originate at the same spot but attach to the side of the thigh. Their function, in conjunction with a band of connective tissue called the iliotibial band, is to move the thigh outward (away from the midline of the body). These two also work to stabilize the leg and help maintain correct knee tracking in exercises like the seesaw lunge so you can maximize the work of the other muscles involved. Exercises that work the gluteus include lunges, squats, butt-blasster machines, leg press, leg abductions, hip extensions and deadlifts.

source: M&FHers

For the "newbie" this is very helpful. I'm not a newbie but I find a lot of good training ideas, motivational articles and great recipes in these two mags.
