Hello all!

I am a 40 year old women and in need of some guidance! I am 5'6 and 170 pounds.......I have tried died pills and all of the nonsense drugs needed to lose weight. I have been getting great support from the weightloss forum girls at fitness.com, however decided I needed to see what others think.

Anyways, give me a sign!

It sounds like you want to lose some bodyfat. Diet is not the only answer. What do you eat now. Spell out a typical day of eating and we can give advice.

Also, do you exercise? If so, what, how long and how often.

Hi Jaclyn and welcome to DF.

As LadyC says, you will need a sensible eating plan along with a good exercise routine to see the results you desire. Let us know how you're currently eating and exercising, and we can give you advice.

P.S. Throw away the diet pills!

Hi there,
Diet pills tend to be a waste of mney and can even have some harmful side effects.Proper nutrition and exercise are best for weight loss. Nutrition should be healthy foods, with a calorie deficit but enough food to fuel your daily activity. Making healthy food choices is important. Lean meats, fruits, veggies, whole grains and good fats. Exercise should include cardiovascular exercise, strength training and even flexibility training.
Hope that helps and let me know if I can help more.
Sarah
