yellow discharge
Hi ,
Recently after my period, I had watery yellow/white coloured discharge(smelly).
For your info I am married, I just went for surgery last November due to Ruptured Ovarian Foelicle Bleeding on the right side.
Ever since after the surgery I'm having pain on and off in my abdomen. My private part also sometimes pain.
I'm was advised by my gynae to take this pills: GYNERA: GESTODENE 0.075mg
ETHINYLESTRADIOL 0.03mg
After taking the medicine the pain reduced but discharge continues. I consult my doctor, but he says this is normal and advise me to continue with the pills.
My question , is the discharge normal ? Sometimes I will get cramps in both legs. Any side effects taking the above mentioned pills?
What do u suggest ?
Thank you.

This probably isn't aimed at me but I looked at the drug names and I know that cramps are very common with drugs containing gestodene I would suggest you stick out the course of medication like your doctors advises, but I can't help with anything else sorry..just thought I'd throw that in if it helped.

See a doctor and have them take a culture.
Even though you are married you could still have a yeast infection, vaginosis, or. . ?
Th surgery may have thrown off the PH balance in your vaginal area, thus causing an infection to ensue. Also, if you were taking any antibiotics they are well know for messing up a woman's vaginal PH.
You most certainly should see a doctor. However, here are a quick few notes about natural ways to care for "female stuff"
1) Bladder Infection - Drink lots of Cranberry Juice (real juice on "cocktail)
2) Yeast Infection
a) Wear cotton underwear only
b) Buy some plain, unsweetened yogurt, then put it down there every night for a week when you go to bed. Messy, but clean and natural way to take care of things
c) Buy fresh garlic. Peel the garlic and put a few cloves down there during the day time.
3) Oral Health (good for man or woman)
In addition to brushing and flossing you should "spoon" your tongue twice a day. What is spooning your tongue? Simple, after you brush and floss take a spoon and scrape it across your tongue a few times, then rinse your mouth really well. You'll be amazed at how much more clean your mouth feels.

As someone else already suggested, get a second opinion just to be sure.

umm ok those ones kinda stumped me.. why put the yogurt "down there". my mom always ate it when she had yeast infections. is topical better?
-and why would you put a garlic clove there too? (sure would keep the vampires away) wouldnt it smell funky?

atherjen,
I'm REALLY into natural health, and almost always treat myself using methods practiced by naturopaths and others forms of alternative medicine.
Ingesting yogurt is OK, but applying it topically works much faster.
Garlic cloves do smell funky, but hey I would rather smell like garlic for a few days then have a nasty frothy infection. . .

Here is a link that explains yogurt, garlic and all kinds of other alternative female treatments http://www.fwhc.org/health/yeast.htm

Hello
I'm new to the forums and i've been reading the posts and would like to offer my 2 cents. Too much coffee, caffiene plays havoc on our womanly systems.
My suggestion is lay off it for a few days. You might want to drink some Pau D'arco tea. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal. Also getting some yogurt with live cultures or taking an acidopholus supplement will help.
