Britney looked how *I* would look going up on stage. Like a normal human-being (except for the totally stoned-to-oblivion look on her face).

Orky, I can relate to that one. A girl who we all "assumed" as anorexic worked out at our old club she gave us the willies. She'd come in twice a day and do 2 hours of cardio each time, and she had no muscle tone, only skin and bones.
As it happened she followed me to my current club and, it's the same thing all over. We chit chat because we are familiar with each other....and I've had so many trainers come up to me and ask me (since they see us chat): "Is she anorexic?"
At least now she's starting to work out, and not just do her cardio,....but ultra light and gingerly. She's still skrawny.

She looked better than at least 95% of women out there. I agree that she wasn't as toned as she had been in the past, but I don't think she was "fat" either.

I totally agree. I thought she looked fine. No, she didn't have the muscle tone she used to but she was in far better shape than most people who are watching and critiquing her. They should have cut her some slack but hey, Hollywood has these standards you know. And if you don't measure "down" to those itty bitty standards, you must by default be fat.

I thought she looked good. She's had a couple babies, and is still looking good. No she doesn't have the same super toned body she use to, but in no way did she look fat!

She had a tummy tuck (to me that's cheating), but yeah, she looked pretty good.

She had a C-section.
The surgical lines are different for a tummy tuck and a C-section.
Also once you've had a C-section and that muscle is cut, don't count on getting nice flat abs either at all OR as easily as you did before. I'm not saying it's impossible, but a vaginal birth does not bring with it the same delays in training the abs as having a C-section done.

She had both, a c-section AND a tummy tuck.
I know quite a few women who've had c-sections and their belly's are flat. I also know a few women who've had vaginal deliveries and they have pot bellies. So, it just depends on the individual and what she is willing to do to get her own body back in shape.

As I said, I'm not arguing about the possibility, just that if you've had a C-section it IS in fact MUCH harder to ever get a flat belly again due to the fact the scalpel cuts through ALL layers of the muscle tissue. Tummy tuck scars are different than the one you see on Brittany. Also, she would have had to have been out of commission for a very long time if she had a tummy tuck. When did she have it done, do you know? Because the healing time for a full flap tummy tuck is not brief and she wouldn't be able to go out partying like that.
Tummy tucks are also a misleading name, (I still do not believe she had one, and reading that she did, well, that's possible, maybe in a tabloid, I really just doubt it).
Vaginal births permit a quicker flat tummy. If the mother doesn't do anything, if a woman doesn't do anything (regardless of if she's had 2 kids back to back), then heck yeah she'll have a pot belly.
For Brittany to look like that and especially with the partying that girl does, she's got some great genes.
It's okay, we can agree to disagree on her tummy tuck issue.
But I stand firm on C-sections make it harder (sometimes impossible, sometimes just very difficult) to regain abs. It's your genetic makeup, your workout routine, and your diet.
That applies to anyone who's had kids or not.
I've worked with women in all 3 categories for decades.....so my opinion, take it or leave it, is just based on what I've witnessed.
And remember, it's okay to agree to disagree,....that's why this is a forum.

Post C-section ab training is completely dependant on the doc. After my daughter was born, my wife couldn't train her abs anymore. She tried so hard and simply couldn't do it. Then after she had the hysterectomy, we learned why. The doc had only put the facia together, not the muscles (a very common practice in emergency C-section). The new doc put the muscles together (8 years later) and after 6 months she was doing weighted crunches. In time she had to just do cables because she was crunching heavier than she could hold safely on her chest...and definitely more than she could hold comfortably.

Britney is an absolute mess physically and mentally.
It has absolutely nothing to do with a C section either her lifestyle is dreadful.
She did look pretty hot at the music awards but she can look a lot better. If lost 10lbs of muscle and gained 10lbs of fat I would look a lot better physicaly still than most but Im not going to think I look good becuase others are worse or that I dont want to make others feel bad.
It is not all about physique either. WIth the right make up lighting costumes she looked alright. The fact is her skin is a mess her hair is thinning she looks malnourished and I would be amazed if she can even do one pull up, she could barely move on stage.
I thought she did look attractive but in no way healthy or fit which is terribly off putting and I know she can look a lot better.

The topic of her C-section was with regards to something else. I doubt anyone on this board will say she looked "healthy" but many of us feel she was unjustly judged by how they claimed she looked.
Everyone knows of her lifestyle, everyone knows a lot more about her than we really should, and I also think everyone agrees at how she had no energy in her show, she meandered about sort of sleepwalking through her routine.
I totally agree she is unhealthy (can't say much about her hair since it's all extensions now), she's puffy from her drinking and diet, her skin tone isn't helped with smoking, buuuut,.....there are many people who think she looked okay (not as good as she had in the past but not as bad as all the coverage made her out to be). Me included.

Hey Maxgain, I'm sure at 5 minutes before pub closing time with a belly full of booze and no prospects in sight for after-hours company, Britney would look pretty darn good to you.

What's strange is,....before she met and married K-Fed, didn't she have a pretty healthy, active lifestyle? I mean, she looked great, seemed to have a great attitude and even seemed quite stable emotionally. She was productive with her music, and I don't think (I can't prove, it's just what I think), she smoked or partied like this....
But it seems like she went off the edge with K-Fed. I couldn't fathom why anyone would ever break off a relationship with her, she seemed to have everything,.....yet he cheated on her & treated her horrible, and she kept trying to make things work, even with 2 kids, so young. She went downhill from there.
It's amazing the powerful effect a relationship can have on some people, emotionally, psychologically, physically,.....it's pretty darn intense.

Was she able to lose weight in the tummy area before her corrective surgery? Is it just the defined look she couldn't achieve?
I am able to do crunches (and I do them every time I work out) but my tummy is the only area that's not "melting away" quick enough for me.
