I agree. I miss the old Brit - I know everyone says that but she used to have it going on...

Honestly, I don't think she ever got over Justin. It seems like she went downhill from there...

I am able to do crunches (and I do them every time I work out) but my tummy is the only area that's not "melting away" quick enough for me.

Would you be able to post a link or hyperlink to any of these sites where you're read that she had a tummy tuck? I haven't ben able to fine any such resources, so maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. Help educate me and show me where you find it. It's quite possible I just missed it.
While celebs always have access to things like live-in trainers, live in cooks, she had so much going for her (and other celebs). It's hard to imagine the gains I could accomplish with that af

If you are able to do crunches, then likely the muscles are properly attached.
But, you cannot reduce the abodmen by crunches. They build the abdominal muscles and make them stronger. The reduction comes from diet, pure and simple. And it takes time. For some women the hips or thighs are the last to go, for others...just like men, the abdomen is the first to gain/last to lose. Just keep working your entire body, all the muscles including the abs, get your cardio and keep your nutrition on track and it will eventually happen. It just takes time, for some of us it takes longer than for others.

Indeed, I would not even need the beer.
However I would hardly be counting myself as the luckiest guy in the world which I would of done 5 years ago.

I don't know too many women, even very healthy, strong women who are in otherwise very good shape, who can do pull ups on their own.

That's excellent!
Still a low ratio when you consider how many MEN can do pull ups right here on DF.
In most gyms, I do not see women doing pull ups (unassisted) hardly at all.
But hey, here at DF we breed a wonderful new kind of woman! The kind of woman who strives to do pull ups! That's what makes the DF women special.......oh among other things too.

I can do my 3 sets of 3 (full extension bodyweight only). Not too grand, but it is a goal that took 3 years to accomplish. My next goal is one set of 10.

Lady C and Amanda you are quick. I couldn't sleep last night after reading this thread thinking that your names were missing from the list!
I would bet that Liftgirl and midgetcop should be here too or not far from it.
I also remember our good friend Laura who was a mod when I came to DF. She was crazy strong, in the league of gymgirl, doing weighted chins and dips and she was just discovering her potential!

I'm working on it slowly. I can do a set of 8 assisted with about half of my bw. But I stopped making progress doing assisted pull-ups, so I've started doing negatives at the end of each lifting workout. I can do a set of four negatives. I hope to be able to do real, big-girl pullups soon! I suppose I might make faster progress if I worked on them before, not after, deadlift, squat, rows, etc.
